The brief

Zôe wanted the outside of the boat to reflect the characterful look that we had created inside. She wanted to incorporate her boat name ' Marigold' in the traditional positioning on the hull.

The solution

'Dazzle' camouflage is a paint scheme used in WW1 and WW2 to disrupt the enemy's estimation of the allied's boat range, speed and heading. The Style Counsel borrowed from this graphic style, but modernised it with a fresher colour palette and incorporated sunburst motifs for Zôe at one end.

Zôe painted the boat herself so we ensured a simplified and achievable design.
